What if Suddenly a CC Camera Talks You on Your First Interview?
I am not entering this room for the first time, but it is the first time entering as a Project Manager after my promotion.
I am a bit nervous for the first interview not to attend but to conduct. There are around 5-candidates, all are sitting in the meeting room. I started going through the list and took the first name on it.
A handsome man enters the room dressed in a blue blazer with a white shirt combination, greets, and takes his seat as indicated by me. The first impression of his aesthetic color choice and gesture makes him look like a sensible team player. I made him comfortable and headed towards the questions. The polite attitude made me keen to know about his background, work experience, and skills, forced me to ask him to tell about himself, though I am not interested in common questions.
A Surprise Voice in the Background
I am looking for a bold male voice; to my surprise, I heard a female vocal, not from the man sitting in front of me, but it is a background sound. This voice started saying that even this new female manager started with the boring interview question.
The candidate started to answer as if he did not hear any other voice other than my question. I always follow a rule that is to face anything in an interview. So, I had no option to change my expression but listen to the answers and the mystery voice.
Boring Interviewer Category
Whenever I raise a query, the vocal started to comment. I am focusing on the answers. But my eyes are in constant search of it but are not able to find it. I felt I had enough time with the candidate and wrapped the interview session, noting some feedback.
The vocal continued saying that I also belong to the boring old-fashioned interview-style category.
Investigation of Voice
I am eager to locate the vocal and my complete focus is on it. Suddenly, I caught sight of the CC Camera opposite to me behind the interviewee. I found that the vocal is from it.
I headed towards the CC Camera. The closer I am to it, the voice is pretty louder. The CC Camera introduced itself as “Fairy” and continued saying to be a talking CC Camera.
Truth Reveals
I checked with the CC Camera and found that there is a mic and speakers attached to it. I faced CC Camera smiling and asked Angel to come to meet me by taking her name. As a memory to remember my promotion, my office friend, Ms. Angel has pranked and confronted me that the interview candidates are part of it. She inquired how I found her name? I said surprisingly, “Fairies are Angels.”
